Here the man who started what could be stated as the top dent and scratch removal panel beaters in Johannesburg, Metal Cross. Frank started Metal Cross over 10 years ago just up the road from where they are now in between Northgate and Fourways. Next to Frank is his right hand man Laurence who is the estimator manager and between Frank and Laurence, they make sure that Metal Cross humbly remains on top.

Niche Breakfast
After yesterdays rant, I think that I need a breather, so today a shorter post.
Because of the viral nature my raw sewerage post went, I somehow have fallen into the camp of the conservation, not a bad place to be in, I must say so myself. So now we are fighting for the Greater Roodekrans Ridge Conservancy from King’s Kloof to Constantia Kloof. I phoned a friend today about Crowd Funding on another environmental project, this friend has always been adamant that my blogs have been far too short, said to me on the phone, that I have now found my niche for my blog; no more cat photos said my friend. Oh dear.
Anyway, today I had to see my client, Metalcross for our monthly debriefing sessions and after waiting for a while, it was cold this morning, Frank, the owner phoned to apologise and invited me to meet him for breakfast. Now I can’t say no to breakfast, how can I. It was a good breakfast although I didn't quite know what that green fried leaves in the mini bucket were for.

Don Francisco
Yesterday my good friend Frank or as he is legally known as Francisco, turned 50 years old along with his business, Metal Cross turned 10.
Lynda and I were summoned to the villa to celebrate in Don Francisco’s 50th birthday. We have never been to a Portuguese Mafia party, intrigued, so we arrived dressed to the tee and armed to the teeth. But we were family and had nothing to worry about; someone else can be fed to the fishes. We enjoyed our evening with the don, family, and friends.

Happy Birthday Metal Cross
Ten years ago, Frank had a dream, a dream of starting a dent and scratch repair centre free of the unethical business practices that were plaguing the panel beating industry. The Metal Cross Vehicle Makeover Clinic was born. Metal Cross started from a gazebo in a parking lot opposite a car wash behind Fourways Value Mart in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. Through ups and downs with his wife Liz by his side, Metal Cross is now the top scratch and dent repair company in Randburg maybe even the whole of Johannesburg.
Happy birthday Metal Cross. Here is to another 10 good years.

Humble Ubuntu
We have a saying here in isiZulu that goes like this, umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu. Directly translated it means that a person is a person through other people, and one needs to stay humble.
Today Velile and I, interviewed some of the staff at Metal Cross Vehicle Makeover Clinic because next week Friday they turn 10 years old, and we were blown away about how this very saying rings so true in the staff, the managers, and the owners of this scratch and dent repair centre that is tucked away between Randburg and Fourways. Both Velile and I spoke afterwards how we noticed the difference between the god-worship of the supreme leader at our old company compared to the genuine humble words coming from these staff members about ubuntu, their family called Metal Cross with their father Frank and mother Liz.
Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu.
So I will leave you with this truth and remember don’t shine so others can see you, shine so that through you others can see God.

Super Fiona
As the poster behind Fiona states “No one expects you to save the world, otherwise would have been born wearing a cape and tights. Just do the best you can.” Well Fiona is doing just that, being super at Metal Cross, the best panel beaters in the Fourways and Randburg areas.
