It is Edutrain day again, this time there are over 600 kids from two schools in the Vaal. Metrorail took the kids to the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newtown. The kids enjoyed the trip but I felt that there was too many children to effectively go through the displays with them.
Getting to Metrorail this morning, I was pleasantly surprised by a trip to the Johannesburg Planetarium organised by the Edutrain. Marketing had over 400 primary school children coming in from Mapumalanga by busses to Pretoria. From there they caught the Edutrain to Park Station, then more buses to the planetarium. The kids loved the outing to the big city and the teachers did a sterling job keeping the kids in order.
