Day 61 - Shammy Cupcakes

Lockdown Day 60 - We had to say goodbye to one of our cats, Shammy. He had been suffering for sometime now with the cold and after yesterday's cold snap, he said goodbye and this morning we had to bury him.

Rebekah was back to today, making us some yummy cupcakes to help us get over Shammy. No we didn't let on that Shammy has crossed over, and she was just happy to make us all cupcakes.

Cup Cake Birthday

After a downer evening I didn't quite feel up to going to church this morning, that was until Lynda reminded me that it was Centre Church's 4th birthday today, so I dragged myself out of bed, threw on some clothes, brushed my teeth, and shuffled out to the car. After a wait, Lynda arrived, and we drove to Centre Church without much talking.

Yay! Hip, Hip, Hooray! Here's to God getting us out of bed each morning and celebrating life. I feel it in my bones that this is going to be a good year, especially since God has always looking out for me, and I feel that this is my Year of Jubilee.

Belated Taleesha

It was Taleesha's birthday on Friday past. In the week running up to her birthday, she reminded everyone yet I believe she did not bring any cake on the day. I wasn't there on the day so I can't be that sure. Anyways over half a week later, Graham's mom reminded him of Taleesha's birthday that had past, and he came back to the office baring belated cupcakes. Uhmmm they were so nice and fresh that my cupcake went down well.

Happy belated birthday Taleesha, and I see that the cupcakes made from red velvet so happy early Single Awaresness Day for tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Centre Church

After yesterday's dirty work, it was nice just to let your guard down and join family to celebrate Centre Church's 2 years in existence. Happy Birthday!

A broken group of people getting together to live life together with the Messiah Jesus. Broken as I am, free falling not knowing if I am going to get caught, and all I want is to be able to say that it is well with my soul.

Jon used a story of his wife asking him to take out the dustbin but God asks us to help Him, take out the dustbin. How come we tend to ask what can God do for us.  BUT God calls us not to help us with our plan, but to be part of His almighty plan. It is not about us anymore, we not the centre, Mr Venter. It is like the analogy that I use, imagine a big spotlight, shinning down from above and God calls us into the light from the darkness outside the light. Now once we are inside, the centre, it is easy for us to relax, enjoy the light. we are saved, right? We can just stay put, BUT God called us to reach out into the dark, grab a hand and pull it into the light.

It is well, it is well with my soul.

Quarter Century

Happy birthday Ilana, at a quarter of a century, you have your whole life ahead of you. Okay it is not like you have turned sweet 16, 21, 30, 40, or even 50 but you don’t turn a quarter of a century every day. So 25 cameral cupcakes is just what the doctor ordered. Yummy.

Mary bearing SAD Gifts

Ohhh, when Mary from Bosasa IFM walked in carrying a box full of pick iced Happy Valentine’s Day cupcakes for everyone, it reminded me that tomorrow is Single Awareness Day aka SAD, oh happy day! Although it is for SAD, nom, nom, nom, I am truly grateful that the men also got Happy Valentine’s Day cupcakes, not just the women. Note this was said while enjoying another mouthful of delish cupcake.

SAD, so for all my single friends out there, believe me when I say, tomorrow sleep in bro, you won’t regret it as tomorrow is the day when all the singles get to remember that being alone on Valentine’s Day is no different than any other day and that you haven’t yet met anyone to handle all of your awesomeness, believe me, I am the Doctor.

So tomorrow, let’s not observe the commercialism of what Valentine’s Day has become, but let’s celebrate SAD or Single Awareness Day where you don’t have to be in a relationship to celebrate life.
