Day 13 - We Care

Lockdown Day 13 - After a lot of research I wrote a response back to the owner of Websense Internet Solutions stating that my dismissal was unfair. He responded by changing the dismissal to a retrenchment process backdating it to the 31 March including notice period. Really this shows me what type of person he really is.

Went to the local shops today and found that the staff are wearing these flimsy transparency protective visors. Good idea which should help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

I have been in lots of consultation with God in prayer about what to do, my future, ect, ect, ect. One of the things that I asked him was for a sign on what to do. Yesterday Moses Fruit & Veg gave me an awesome order. Today on the wall of this supermarket is a sign "We Care" interesting as one of my options is "We Care Africa". So lets see what God has in plan for me with His writing on the wall.

Hands in the Air

I should have realized that we were in the middle of rolling blackouts when I saw all the shop assistants with their hands in the air holding bank card machines as high as possible to try capitalize on the weak signal. It was only when I reached the long queues at the tills that I realized that the ANC has once again messed up our economy.

It is the ANC's birthday celebrations this weekend so I expect no load shedding as the corrupt party would make sure nothing jeopardizes their festivities, they got to look good as for the rest of the people... oh well.

Honey, I Shrunk the Groceries!

With the Rand Dollar Exchange Rate being so bad, there is not much you can buy now with your money. Okay it has climbed a tiny bit due to the British Pound dropping because of the Brexit mistake but still with inflation added to the mix, all you can do is reminisce back to the old days when the Rand was based on the Gold, the Pound on the Sterling Silver, and well the Dollar can stay where it is.

So with the little purchasing power our money now has, Checkers, a local retail brand, has brought out new sizes of popular products in smaller sizes. So now I can come home and say, honey I shrunk the groceries.
