Lockdown Day 59 - I am starting to loathe the words "New Normal" as this simply can't be normal, never, not on my watch. Anyways it is Sunday which means online church while we still in bed, this time we have the grand children joining us but as you can see Koko is being distracted by the cat Minky, both who want to sit on Lynda's lap. Ahhh the new Sunday normal.

Starting the Year Right
Okay there may be claws in Robynne's leg as little Dakotah makes friends with the cat Minky as we all relax on this first day of 2020. Daks seems to love animals especially the cats much to her father's dismay.
In 2020, may you have the grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Loed.

I can eat if I want to
It was Dakotah's 1st birthday during the week just gone, and a unicorn birthday party was arranged for today, as if she hasn't been celebrating all week already. Mommy and daddy jointly made an awesome unicorn rainbow cake.
Did someone say cake? Hurry up with the singing and kisses and all. Did you know that unicorns are mentioned in the Bible? No well they are, and they are the national animal of Scotland. And unicorns poop rainbows hence the cake is a rainbow cake, so there. Talking about cake, it's my party and I can eat if I want to...

His Master's Voice
Okay you have seen photos of me and my life but have you heard my voice? Yip hear I am singing a nursery rhyme to my granddaughter Dakotah while we babysit the grandchildren. Eish I know I don't have a Master Voice as it left a lot to be desired but who cares, Cocco enjoyed granddad.

Feeding the Chickens
The chickens have come home to roost. Yesterday was a hard day to work through. I had made plans for the day but the wobbly start did not help. So here I was this morning sitting in bed, drinking coffee and thinking about what had happened the day before.
It was a slow start but once coffee was done, it was into the shower, then a rush to get going to church. After church, we popped in to Marco and Robynne's place to pick a pattern book that Lynda forgot there and while there Marco invited us to go out somewhere. We ended up at some farm yard place in the deep south of Johannesburg, Marco's stomping ground from his youth.
So here I am with granddaughter Dakota, sitting on my lap feeding the chickens.

Grandma's Day
The best part of being a grandparent is that when it becomes too much we can simply hand the grandchildren back to the parents. Nice, not that Dakotah is any of a handfull. Now where did I leave the candy?
I am down with a bug, not feeling well, yet I climbed out of bed, got the braai/barbeque going and waiting for the children to arrive with the grandchildren in tow. After they arrived, I got the meat on the grill, and socialized from a distance as not to past any germs over. When everyone had left I headed straight for bed, grandma's feather bed and didn't pass Start.

Super Heroines
Super Heroines do wear capes and well masks too. We had an early Christmas dinner and Rebekah received a purple mask and cape from us or should I say Santa Claus. Rebekah was running up and down whooshing wearing her new super gear.
Dakotah enjoyed watching her elder sister that she too waned to wear the super heroine mask and cape.

Home Dakotah
I haven't seen Dakotah since she left the birthing clinic 3 weeks ago. Her parents Robynne and Marco have been sick with flu , followed by Lynda, so we stayed away thereby making sure that little Dakotah does not get any germs.
