Rage Breakfast

 

Matthew has been going to Rage, the local computer show in Johannesburg, since he was a small boy, and now it has become an institution. It is Rage weekend and Matthew and I have our traditional breakfast at Wimpy before leaving him a Rage, only to pick him up afterwards. Those who knew me a long time ago, it looks like Matthew has picked up an old habit of mine, playing with hair, but surely it can't be from me.

僕は友達が少ない, Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai or literally translated from Japanese I don’t have many friends. Haganai is one of the main characters of a series of short novels called Haganai which was written by Yomi Hirasaka and is about a young teenager called Kodaka Hasegawa. The stories have also been adapted as a full feature anime film and series, and it is these animes that have caught the attention of Matthew.

Kodaka, is transferred to a new school and found it difficult to make friends due to his mix of brown-blonde hair. He finally makes friends with solitary young lady, called Yozora Mikazuki. Both of them form an after school club called the Neighbours Club, for people like themselves with no friends.

It seems that Kodaka has become Matthew’s role model and he cosplayed as Kodaka for rAge today where he won a prize for cosplayer that is dressed closest to character. Wow, to me he was dressed just as a normal teenager but I am sure the girls would think that his hair style is cool, well certainly Deadpool and Jon Snow thinks so. Yes Jon Snow is still alive and well as seen today at rAge.

Month End Rage

After the monthly shopping I took Matthew and Justin to Rage which is the annually gaming and computer technology show in Johannesburg. The problem is that Matthew never wants to leave Rage which tends to create problems after a long day on your feet. While there I also bumped into Willie and his son Wian also enjoying the day at Rage.
