It is so Huge!

With the year about to run out of days, eKayaMedia decided to have their year-end function at the Berlin Pub and Restaurant in Ruimsig. Now this establishment specialises in German cuisine and is renowned as the best eisbeins in Johannesburg.

The day was sweltering but that did not stop us from ordering eisbeins and I can now vouch that the eisbein is one of the best I have ever had. The top photo is of Johan and the bottom one is of Denise, both are about to tuck into their huge eisbein. The rest of the photos can be found in my Facebook album Wow it is so HUGE!

Denise and Trevor

Sunday, means BBC, so off we went to the late morning services at Bryanston Bible Church. There are many interesting changes afoot with all the new extensions to upgrade BBC. I am looking forward to 2014 at BBC. A surprise visit to BBC is Trevor and his lovely wife Denise. Well not quite, Trevor has been very busy with his ministry Wellspring and I haven't seen him for quite a while.

Pers Reën

While I was at Gendel today doing final corrections, the Johannesburg fathers decided it was time to clean the streets of the riff-raff with water cannons and rubber bullets. Thoughts turned to purple rain as news poured in of African National Congress' youth league running amok downtown because there leader "D"alema faced a disciplinary hearing.

As the ANC's kindergarten caused mayhem by throwing rocks and bottles at the police, Gendel's Traffic Manager, Denise was pleased that I managed to complete the website ahead of deadline. Talking to her this morning I found out that she too loves photography and that we have a common friend Maritha.

Year Start Dinner

To start off the year my cell combined a dinner with a surprise baby shower for one of our members. It was a wonderful evening with friends that care. Mike, Denise, Karin and Rob are shown here all enjoying pre-dinner drinks.

Mother of the Bride

Home Cell has become more like a family where we can support one another and come long side each other in times of need. Sometimes there is cause to celebrate. Mike and Denise's (shown above) daughter is getting married this coming Saturday and the Home Cell is joyous for them. We ask for God's blessing upon the union.

The cell

Another rushed day. It seems that I am wanted everywhere. The last visa was picked up today and just 2 more sleeps until we leave for our holiday. In the evening I went to home cell and we took photos to send to Maia in Bulgaria. So here is from the front left to right Denise, Petra, Rob, Leigh, Sandy, Sarah and Francis. In the back you can find Mike, Andy, Karin, Emme and Joanne.

Reflection, Remembrance and Thanks

Work is finally been caught up or could I say under control. I got so behind after those 7 days without a telephone or DSL and with one client just piling up work with next day deadlines. Wow this has been a busy February. Just think it was only last month that I was slightly concerned about new work. My calendar for the next few months is getting full at a staggering rate. In the photograph are my friends Denise and Zahava organising Haggadah which is next month. Yes it is that time again where we reflect and remember what God has done for us and to give thanks to Him.
