Today Matthew and I are recovering from a little too much sun over the weekend. From what I hear Jean and Andre are too feeling the effects of our father and son weekend camping in the Magaliesberg. For my friends in the eastern United States, I feel for you as I would enjoy just lying in the snow trying to soothe my sun soaked body. But temperatures remain in the low 30s. Anyway how Brandy and Whiskey remain cool under all their fur remains a mystery to me.
Much needed rain continues to fall, give my garden a good soaking. The pets stayed indoors because getting wet is one of their biggest dislikes. This photo is strange because Maxy, our Italian Greyhound’s neck is in a weird position straining to see why Brandy is getting more attention than him.
Brandy our black cat came home tonight hotly chased by a much larger cat. She had blood on her but I could not find the source. Brandy seen here with Whiskey was last seen on Monday evening. I don’t think she has been eating as she wolfed down her food of dry pellets and roast chicken. Brandy does not meow but chirps like a bird which should have helped her attract helpless birds.
Her Ladyship, Brandy keeps a wary eye open most of the time as Maxy terrorizes her often. Maxy knows that Brandy is petrified of him and takes any opportunity he can to stamp his dominance. She is not a bad ol' putty tat. But today is Carol and I's annerversary. We have been married for 11 years and have a lovely son.
Our family grew today by 2. Let’s all welcome Brandy and Whiskey, two cats who did not have a home anymore and their future did not look too great. We are slowly introducing them into the home. Maxy is a bit confused about these strange animals.
