Downpour


It was only a 14% chance of rain today, and so I took the Vespa into work. It was cold start to a wonderful sunny day but by home time, towering thunder clouds had built up and was threatening.

We made it as far as Fourways, when the heavens opened up and the flood waters rose. Thankfully a Sasol Service Station was nearby for all those pedestrians, cyclists, and bikers to take shelter. Thankfully the cloudburst didn’t last more than half an hour.
