Waiting for the Summer Rain

Forget Spring and the fresh fragrance in the air, the heat of summer is here and soon we will be begging for the summer rains. Although the flowers in our garden are blooming we need to water manually until the rains come. Jim Morrison and The Doors got it wrong; this is not the end, beautiful friend, this is the beginning.

Sometimes the pain of the past winter is too much to examine, or even tolerate. It is the hope of the future given to us through grace that makes this new coming season worth the pain. Waiting for the summer rain, yeah!
