Siamese Fireback

While my son Matthew on the last leg of his Thailand tour, I was relaxing in the gardens of Bosasa Business Park, when a Siamese Fireback walked out in front of me. The pheasant paused in front of me while I fumbled for the camera. He then went on to give me a glimpse of golden plumage on his back which is normally hidden by his blue grey wings.

I haven't received many updates from Matthew, but no news is good news and he must be having so much fun. It takes national bird of Thailand just to show me with that glimmer of gold that Matthew is all right and that God is in control.
