Soaking Rain
The raining continues to fall soaking into the dry soil. In Johannesburg, along with the rain, the waterproof traffic lights stop working and the rush hour traffic becomes a parking lot. But the rains in Africa are long awaited and are just what the doctor ordered, washing away the colds and flu. The sky is still heavy with rain, the land is soaked and the dam below the property on which my cottage stands is overflowing. I have to be careful not to trek mud into the cottage.
