Sunday Nap
Hey what’s your problem, can’t you see I am trying to have my Sunday afternoon nap! We Italian Greyhounds have only two speeds, flat out or snoozing.

Orange
I had to pop over to Tommy and Lee’s place this afternoon to help them with their computer. Well took off Norton’s Anti Virus because it had reached the end of their subscription and loaded AVG onto their computer. Here is their daughter Kristine posing with Matthew.

Lawrence
Thank goodness it is Friday yet again. What happened to the week? Oh yes I have been down with flu most of this week. Lawrence, my friend from Zimbabwe came over after work.

Avo on bread
Someone brought some avocado pears and bread this morning to Metrorail. The avocado was smashed up and smeared thickly on the slices of white bread. It was soon wolfed down by all who were close. Here is Thandekile and Thoko taken their turn and getting stuck in.

Back Street Abortion
I barely made it to Metrorail today, it was if death had passed me by or as my wife would say "another clean shirt will do me". My flu is still persistent but it will be shaken. What got my attention was this back street abortionist peddling their death on the streets.

Paseka
My nose is becoming raw but I am feeling strong. I made it to Aqua in the afternoon and took a picture of Paseka.

The Neighbourhood Boys
Bed, Bed, Bed, I am tied of this bed. Every time a cough or laugh my bruised lungs ache. Matthew had friends over which kept him out of the house. Here is the neighbourhood boys, Philip, David, Tino, Brian, Matthew and Maxy, the Italian Greyhound.

Light of Nandos
What started as a good day, ended in me starting to come down with something. Time will only tell. After arriving back from Metrorail, I just crashed and did not get up until late in the evening. The only good thing of the day was that I had lunch at Nandos where I took this photo of one of their lights.

Market inside the Park
I went to the far side of Park Station during my lunch break from Metrorail. I had to pass this impromptu market set up in one of the passageways.

Jo-ann and Julie
It is back to Metrorail on another cold morning for me with the street people trying to keep warm as best as they can. Good news - Jo-Anne, my cousin contacted me and told me that Julie my sister whom I have not seen or spoken to for nearly 15 years is back in the country.

14,976 days old
I am 14,976 days old today (counting the leap years is 41) and we are in Paris or is that Parys in the Free State. They both have an Eiffel Tower, French flags and require a passport to visit. We spent the day looking around the shops and eating out. You know what I should celebrate the day when I turn 15,000 days old.

Friday the 13th
Well the title got your attention. Tomorrow is my birthday and I am in that place once again. Reflecting on life, what has gone and what I can still look forward to. For a more deeper look go to my other blog “This is the BBC”. I spoiled the ICT staff at Metrorail with some sumptuous snacks as I was tired of cream cake. Later Carol, Matthew and I disappeared south to the Vaal River for the long weekend of quiet bliss. The scenery was stunning but I had watch CSI last night and in this episode they had extracted some DNA from public lice or crabs so I was very pedantic about the accommodation. If I had glad wrap around I would have used it.

Snow White's step mother
Mirror, mirror upon the wall, Who is the fairest fair of all? Look into your mirror, Thoko and tell me what you see. Is it really you or someone you cannot be?

The big push
Back to Metrorail again with another early start. It was a uneventful day with the only mentionable thing was seeing this broken down school bus and the kids trying to push start the heavy thing.

Remember your licence is expiring
The cold has come back and it got me on a late start to the traffic department to renew my driver’s licence which expires on Thursday. The photographs cost R40 from the hawkers outside the Randburg Traffic Department but I manage to find this pair from Mr ID who was willing to start a pricing war by selling their services for only R5. Yes you read correctly R5. The other hawkers were not too happy about the intruders. After many queues I finally got out at 2pm. I found a Garden of Remembrance outside the traffic department although I am not sure what it is for as there is not much of a garden.

A wee break then
Ah a quiet tranquil break during what has become a busy weekend. I took Maxy, Carol and her mom for a walk to Emmarentia. I am not too sure about taking Maxy there on a Sunday as there are too many dogs for Maxy to sniff. Here is Carol and her mom sitting by dam. Well that’s if you can see them. Just believe me they are eating chocolate there on that bench by the dam while I am walking the dog.

Rudi the crazy German
I only got to bed at 3:30 this morning after working right through the night on a client’s website. It has to be finished by today but it does not look like it. In the late afternoon I had to go see another client Hartmut or as he is commonly known as Rudi. Well you can have a good look at his ear. Okay I am having a busy weekend so it is not my fault that you can’t see his face. What is all this work during the weekend anyway?

Dress warm
Today I dug out my old skiing clothes and dress nice and snug like a bug to be at Metrorail at 6am and my first meeting with 126 at 7am. Today has turned out to be a beautiful winters day with not a cloud to be seen and a slight nip in the air but otherwise very pleasant. Here is one of the Diesel Electric Motors outside my Metrorail office.

Cold snap
On the way way to Metrorail this cold raining morning, I was listening to the radio which I hardly do as I spend this time talking to God while he is sitting next to me in the car. As I heard that snow was falling on the Drakensberg I wondered to myself that it is strange that snow is falling in summer. Only then did it dawned on me that it is June therefore winter. I must say that it has been a mild winter so far. On the way to see another client in Bedfordview I stumbled upon this old looking church. If I remember correctly it is the Church of Scotland in the Province of Transvaal.

New puppies
Here is a word for my lovely friend Jackie to say, "Puppies". She has this wonderful French accent. Tuesday home cell started up again after a two break and the first thing that I notice is not all the new artwork but the two new puppies at the Sims. One a dachshund and the other a rhodesian ridgeback. Don't ask me their names but here is Karen holding the dachshund.

Peaceful Petuns
Here is Petunia looking all prim and proper but at the same time all flustered in a way only she knows. Petunia is the marketing lady who replaced Motshidisi at Metrorail. Petuns is much serene than Tshidi was, well both are pleasant in their own sort of way. But today Petuns was so busy that she could not grant me an audience so I made the changes without her approval. Well I have to wait and see if she would notice.
