Piston Ring Greyhound
Today a small group of Vespa riders set out from Scoots in Fourways to the Piston Ring Club's monthly meeting in Modderfontein which is held every third Sunday of each month. Arriving there by mid morning, we joined other Vespas and Lambrettas but somehow got lost among the hundreds of classic automobiles and hotrods.
We strolled around looking at all the nicely decked out cars and the stalls they were selling all types of car paraphernalia. What caught my eye was this 1933 Ford 3 window coupe that had this awesome greyhound hood ornament gleaming in the sun. There was a sign on the windscreen requesting no touching. Never mind the car; it was the Greyhound that I wanted to put my fingerprints on. The silver greyhound was in full stride and my heart just melted.
