Lockdown Day 38 - Okay this is to prove that we are at church and in bed at the same time. Being in bed does not mean that I wasn't listening to Jon's passionate preach. Yes I was awake and not like Saul who was like Paddy our cat fast asleep while David and his men took the spear and vase of water instead of killing Saul. Nothing would have woken Paddy, not even Jon.
Oh and this Kyle has been bugging me to write about what I shared to the Connect family about last Sunday's service. So please check the update I did on my post of last Sunday to read my testimonial... Oh why is Paddy always asleep?

Nearly Rained Out
This afternoon we had a power failure at work, as usual something to do with Eskom, what could be one of the most useless parastatals in South Africa, but it does help to complain. Still with no power, I left work just after 3pm, and to add to my woes it started hailing, luckily not large ones. Nothing was going to get me down today as this evening I was going to have coffee with Jon.
Halfway home the heavens opened up, not cats and dogs but it seemed like I would need to start building an ark if I was to get to that coffee with my bro. After an hour of torrential downpour, God must have shown some favour as it stopped. Yay I was soon on my way for coffee with Jon which turned out to be dinner.
It was good to break bread with Jon. As a child of God we can't walk this road alone, as I have been trying to do because my problems are huge, yet here I was.

Flat Batteries
It is only February and already my batteries are pup. I could barely get out of bed this morning to drive to church for a recharge. And it's a recharge we need as I am running on God fumes just to have hope for the next day. It is all I have, faith that God is doing something great in my life again. Even Jon had to change the mic's flat batteries this morning before giving us our daily bread.

Terrible Trio
Okay the Terrible Trio, is not the best way to describe these 3 friends as they are not so terrible but I needed something rhyming with the word three. These 3 Kerry, Cindy, and Jon, are working hard getting ready for this morning church service and here I am taking a selfie, or that is what they thought I was doing. Sorry snap!
What I love about this photo is their facial expressions, each thinking something totally different from the other.

Oprah Jon
A gift for you, and a gift for you, wait there is a gift for everyone, says Oprah Jon on this Sunday's service at Centre Church. It is the summer holidays and the roads are clear yet the church was quite full, all here to listen to Jon. Preach it Oprah Jon!

Hidden Drummer
Come, they told me
Pa rum pum pum pum
To sing Carols
Pa rum pum pum pum
To the newborn King
Pa rum pum pum pum
Ra pum pum pum
Ra pum pum pum
But no one told me they going to hide the little drummer boy on top of the jungle gym.
Welcome to the jungle, as we sang Christmas carols under the stars at the cross roads of Malibongwe and Bellairs to celebrate our Messiah, who came as a baby into this world and to whom all knees will bend before Him. While many rushed about doing late night shopping in a world of gifts of debt, a few from Centre Church worshiped the Messiah for which this season is really all about.

I Believe
This is it, I am nailing my colours to the mast and I will the Hillsong song "This I Believe" which we sang at Centre Church this morning. This is my creed.
Our Father everlasting
The all creating One
God Almighty
Through Your Holy Spirit
Conceiving Christ the Son
Jesus our Saviour
Our Judge and our Defender
Suffered and crucified
Forgiveness is in You
Descended into darkness
You rose in glorious life
Forever seated high
I believe in You
I believe You rose again
I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord
I believe in life eternal
I believe in the virgin birth
I believe in the saints' communion
And in Your holy Church
I believe in God our Father
I believe in Christ the Son
I believe in the Holy Spirit
Our God is three in one
I believe in the resurrection
That we will rise again
For I believe in the name of Jesus
