End of Year in Sight

 

Ahhh Friday the 13th, and here I stand with 2020 just a few days away as the last days of this year quietly slip away into darkness, thanks to our government who like to blame others for their own short comings. I mean wet coal and Jan van Riebeeçk have been used as excuses for why they are so greedy. They say that greed is an untreatable disease. Does the people have to make another covenant with God?

It doesn't help to blame others for what has happened in our past.

Anyhoo, with reconciliation, it is a new world we live in, a world that will hopefully birth out of darkness, an new South Africa for everyone, a South Africa that we can all be proud of, a lighthouse with its shining light, beaming out to the rest of the world. Cozy View

Okay I have had way better views from my office windows than this view from my latest office. It is Day 2 and we are just about squeezed into our new cozy office in Sandton. This is not your main view of Sandton but the rear view towards the M1 highway. The main important thing is that I have control of the air conditions, ahhh power to make you sweat.

Cold View

It is a cold start to the week, and this morning I found myself outside on the balcony as the accountants were busy in the open plan office, hence the step outside moment. So here I found myself in the cold watching the Angus Buchan press conference for It's Time that will be held in 2 months time. All the while a view of a cold Sandton was ignored. Uncle Angus this is HOT news on such a chilly morn.

Sunset of National Positions

Tomorrow is my last day at National Positions, and on Tuesday I will be starting a new journey with Bosasa in the West Rand. I am a bit apprehensive but at the same time feeling positive that this new season will bear much fruit.

While driving back from after dropping Matthew off in Benoni, we drove into this amazing sunset. As you can see the thunderstorm over Sandton is diffused by the light of the setting sun. My future is bright in the west.

Sandton View

This morning Louise asked me to go with her to see a client. What should have taken 20mins took us over an hour trying to get to the client. Firstly the traffic on the highway was slow due to an earlier accident then it was the GPS. Surely a GPS would at least give us the right address as one of the choices but no we had to take a tour of the northern suburbs until we could find the Sandton View.

The client had these picturesque views of the financial capital of Africa, Sandton. It was kind of nice to take in the view on a beautiful winter's day. I love Joburg.

Sunrise over Sandton

It is getting lighter much later as autumn and the sun can be very bright while coming up Republic Road towards the Multichoice building in the mornings on my bike. Thank goodness my helmet as a dark visor. This photograph was taken from Randburg towards Sandton.

Medical

We Metrorail contractors spent the whole morning at Braamfontein Clinic getting a full medical required by Metrorail for their contract offer. Yesterday Nambiti sent us their offer and now many of us are not sure which way to go. Will it be SAP or will it be stability? In the evening Carol, Matthew and I went to the Build-a-Bear shop in Sandton City to get Matthew's Christmas present. So welcome to Rick to the family.
