A Cold Day in June

It was a cold day in June, just like today 34 years ago when the police open fire on protesting school children in Orlando, Soweto. Tomorrow is Youth Day, a public holiday in remembrance of this fateful day. Metrorail's Human Resources Department dressed up in their old school uniforms to commemorate that day.

First Day Back

Everyone started returning back to Metrorail after their holidays. During the summer break somebody made Ayanda an honest woman by marring her. We have to change her surname on the Active Directory. I still have to sort out my Payroll issues but hopefully all will fall into place.

Down with the Immune System

With only 3 hours sleep my immune system has decided to take a holiday and while I supposed to be recovering from flu it has come back with vengeance. Well I better get to bed so I will leave with Ayanda, one of the ICT’s managers dressed for this cold weather we having.

Over here José

Today started off quietly but ended in a rush when the Confederation's Cup work had to be submitted with the changes for approval today. When? TODAY! So it became hectic towards the end of the day with even Sibusiso phoning me at home at 8pm asking what time will I be in tomorrow. Oh boy it looks like it is going to continue. Well weekend is nearly here. It seems that Norman is becoming a popular subject for my photos, well it's the things that he does in the office that makes me want to keep my camera handy. Here he is with Ayanda trying to get José's attention.

Back to normal

With all the long weekends finished it is back to normal well almost as Carol and Matthew are away on the South Coast for an extended holiday and I have to fend for myself. Ayanda returned from maternity leave today and had to settle in. You can notice from her last photograph that her tummy is all flat and back to normal.

Any Day Now

It's any day now for Ayanda. Look what you have done now; Bif Naked's song now keeps playing in my head.

Anyday, now - it's gonna start - my real life
And anyday, now - everything is gonna be all right
Anyday, now - life's gonna get real good
And somehow- life will be like I said it would

Anyday, now - mark my word!
Anyday, now – I'll be heard!
Anyday, now - my ship will finally come in
Anyday, now - I'm gonna jump right in

And anyday, now - my destiny will begin
And until then I'll just be here wasting my time
But, don't you worry,
I'll be just fine

Anyday, now - mark my word!
Anyday, now – I'll be heard!
Anyday, now - my ship will finally come in
Anyday, now
