Super Fiona
As the poster behind Fiona states “No one expects you to save the world, otherwise would have been born wearing a cape and tights. Just do the best you can.” Well Fiona is doing just that, being super at Metal Cross, the best panel beaters in the Fourways and Randburg areas.

Medical
We Metrorail contractors spent the whole morning at Braamfontein Clinic getting a full medical required by Metrorail for their contract offer. Yesterday Nambiti sent us their offer and now many of us are not sure which way to go. Will it be SAP or will it be stability? In the evening Carol, Matthew and I went to the Build-a-Bear shop in Sandton City to get Matthew's Christmas present. So welcome to Rick to the family. Here is a photo from Sandton City towards Randburg showing the construction boom.

Mother and Child
Took Matthew to the Mountain Climbing Society of South Africa’s Youth Day which he really enjoyed and wants to join. Arriving at the club we got a puncture from the automated gate runner. Later on Matthew and I took Maxy to Emmarentia for a walk and past this lady sitting at the traffic lights with for small child begging. Look at the child trying to keep out of the sun. I don’t know if I should be angry or what?

Place Baby Here!
Marie Stopes Clinics are at it again. Here on a street corner in Randburg is a rubbish bin advertising Female Sterilization and Safe Abortions. I need a sticker that says “Place Baby Here” to stick onto this rubbish bin.

Remember your licence is expiring
The cold has come back and it got me on a late start to the traffic department to renew my driver’s licence which expires on Thursday. The photographs cost R40 from the hawkers outside the Randburg Traffic Department but I manage to find this pair from Mr ID who was willing to start a pricing war by selling their services for only R5. Yes you read correctly R5. The other hawkers were not too happy about the intruders. After many queues I finally got out at 2pm. I found a Garden of Remembrance outside the traffic department although I am not sure what it is for as there is not much of a garden.

Street hawkers
Today I had to go to the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Pretoria for my visa. But before went I had to get photos, so I went to the local Home Affairs Department in Randburg and found this hawker. He had a wide range of wares on display from cigarettes to mangoes. The also did passport photos so I was in luck. Actually he was running quite a good business. You can even use him as a office as you cane make phone calls, print documents and even fax. I suppose the caravan is where he keeps his stock and sleeps. Anyway I could not stay long as I had to rush to Pretoria. One traffic fine later I was at the embassy and walking out with my visa. Just under two weeks to go. Can’t wait.
