Peaceful Sunday

Yes there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Let's hope that it isn't a train. Joy popped in for a visit before her flight back down to Cape Town. It was good to see the family out from the shadow of the mountain. Here is Joy and Matthew enjoying a good hug.

Broad Management Forum

This is the get together of the managers of Metrorail on a bi-monthly to discuss various topics. This is what kept me very busy yesterday and today my SharePoint deadline went flying past my head. Don’t you love the sound it makes when it whizzes pass. I had to join the managers this morning in case their PowerPoints fail. Here is Joy who is an assistant manager at the Risk Department. She is today’s Programme Director which is a fancier name for MC.

Reunion

Malcolm, Joy (middle), Henry and Kayleigh flew up from sunny Cape Town and landed in rain drenched Gauteng. It was good to see them again and we all (that is Kenneth (right), Shannon, Simone (left), Darryl, Carol, Matthew, Connor, Amy and I joined them for dinner at Cappuccino’s Café & Pizzera in Midrand. When we arrived there load-shedding had started and spent a hour and a half in candlelight. Just as we where about to order (only Pizza or Lasagne), the lights came back on. So I ended up with my favourite 600g oven baked T-bone steak. Uhmmm. Henry and Kayleigh are spending the night here with Matthew. Malcolm and Joy will pick them up tomorrow morning on the way to the Pilanesberg National Park.
