Alex Protests

I don't know what this small group of protesters are protesting about. With over 2 million protesters taking the streets this past weekend in Hong Kong, this group of 50 toyi-toying protesters was not even worth the trouble.

Poor Protest

Protest season has started as we get closer to the elections. This morning it poured with rain keeping the protesters of Alexandra at home while us workers drive to work. Only 50 protesters gathered and they had to delay their march because they had to go door to door seeking the unwilling and forcing them to join. Finally only about 100 marched towards Sandton the financial hub pulling down any other political poster other than the ANC and stomping publicly so that goes to show which political party these protesters belong to.

Forward to Socialism

It is a busy Monday. The Johannesburg Metro Police are protesting over alleged corruption and the lack of disciplinary action taken against senior managers. The protest march is expected to be the first of several this week. One banner read "Forward to Socialism" and some of the marches wore yellow COPE t-shirts. The Congress of the People or COPE for short is the new ANC breakaway party. Their cry is that they will not allow the ruling party (ANC) to destroy South Africa. Back to earth. Every rail commuter’s nightmare becomes a reality when last week a train derailed and today there was two separate train collisions. The first collision was in the morning and the other in the evening. Before you ask no I had nothing to do with it as I work in the ICT department or is that Information and Commutation Technology so therefore "No Comment".
