Back to PRASA

Going back to Metrorail, Park Station, and PRASA was like going down memory lane. I had arranged a meeting with Leon, my old team-mate from MIS, and also to make contact with N from PRASA Cres who along with me are the only two people who know the location of the secret passage joining the Blue Room and the platforms of Park Station.

This passage was sealed up in the late 1950s and remained a time vault since then. I last took a small group of the Joburg Photowalkers down there in 2010 and now another small group of the Photowalkers wants to go down, hence my visit back to PRASA.

Arriving at Umjantsi House, I bumped into more old colleagues from my PRASA ICT days, here is Helen and Thoko.

Mfene

The ICT Integration's change management is represented by Mfene from PRASA. Basically we have been hoping that it would all be over by now but it seems that it still has a long way to go.

We Can Stop HIV

South Africa we can stop HIV and make this place a better place for all colours, race and tribe. Today is International Aids Day and our company decided to make a sports day out of it. Although 4000 staff members were invited only about 1000 turned up. The day started with remembrance of those who have gone before us because of AIDS. The message was that can stop HIV was carried throughout the day. Yes we can.

In body but not spirit

Monday and I am back at work in a sore body but not in spirit. I want to be back on Sophia flying on the windy roads around Sabie with my friends. My body is sitting in a meeting all afternoon at PRASA discussing the ICT Integration with the other business units next to Etienne from Autopax (shown above) while in my heart, Sophia is parked next to Ma Chere and we are talking late into the night.

Tony Da Man

I thought I was going to drown in my sleep last night with the bubbling noises coming from my lungs. I even tried sleeping sitting up but that didn’t help. Anyway I dragged myself off to work and was so busy that I didn’t have any time to cough my lungs out. My first stop of the day was an important meeting with Tony, PRASA’s Senior Communications and Marketing Manager. Let’s hope I didn’t get them all sick. Oh before I go I heard that the missing tiger has finally been tracked down and reunited with its owner today.
