Eating Naartjies
Ahhh one of my favourite fruits, the sweet naartjie, mainly because it is not messy as it can be easily peeled and segmented. The naartje or tangerine as it is called in other countries is a small citrus, smaller than an orange and with a loose skin that makes peeling a dream. Having 2 naartjes in my lunch box to eat during the day is just what the doctor ordered.

Not so Fresh
There always has to be be one bad apple to spoil the bunch, or in this box a naartjie. Woolworths has always the best quality but even the best slip up. I went into my local Woolies to get some feel good food to tackle my mood and had to inform the staff of the errant box of soft citrus, and talking about soft citrus what happened to the proudly South African Naartjie?

Naartjie Skins
This is all that is left from my lunch, naartjie skins or as it is better know outside South Africa mandarins.
Lynda was going to be home late and I had a meeting with my mentor so there was no supper prepared this evening. Knowing this I ate throughout the day and arrived home not hungry at all but made myself a lekker salad and put my feet up and enjoyed the evening and binge watching men's stuff on Netflix.
