Steven and Lebogang
Tonight, our Home Cell held their year end Christmas Party and we had a record turn out. Wow time has sure flown this year. Over a year ago I posted on Mildred and her daughter Lebogang, so now it is the father's turn which will make it my second father and daughter photograph this month. I better be careful not to start a trend here on this blog. Here is Steven, proudly holding his daughter Lebo. Wow, hasn't Lebo grown in the last 2 years.

Steven
First thing I did this morning was rush to see the vampires and allow them to take the samples of my blood they need so the necessary tests can be done. I was hoping that I would have my results by this afternoon but it looks like I am only going to get them tomorrow.
Not much to say tonight other than my wait for the results. Anyway this evening I joined Home Cell at the Sim’s home. As usual another great supper was prepared by Sandy. This time she had roasted a roll of veal, roast vegetables and salad, yummy. Today’s photo is of Steven, from our Homies group who joined us.

Ste is outta here
I am not sure if this is Steven or Stephen. He is the Oracle and SAP developer from Intersite or now as they are known as PRASA CRES or if you really want to know Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa Corporate Real Estate Solutions. Maybe it is Services not Solutions as no one really knows what goes on at PRASA and I am not sure if PRASA knows too.

DSL Up
Yay, our DSL at home is finally up after over a month of been down. What can I say with the government monopoly called Telkom or should I say Helkom? Back at work I am playing catch-up with the work that I fell behind with while I was sick. Steven, who is charge of DM document server was round fixing an excel bug, Microsnot. He doesn't like me taking photos since the last one I took of him sleeping.

ZZZZZZZ
Steven must have had a heavy night last night or is having a particular bad day because by mid afternoon he was sawing logs at his desk. The question I am begging to ask is why do people sleep with their mouths open?

1,000 Post
Wow, I have finally reached my 1,000 post by posting one photograph every day since the 1st January 2007. It has been fun but tough at times. Thank you all who keep coming back to see what has been happening in the life of Jerome. Many people had taken today off and turned yesterday’s public holiday into a long weekend. Here is Steven (obvious he doesn't know how to pick a soccer team), Jimmy and Refiloe (in a tradition dress as yesterday was Heritage Day). You wouldn't believe me if I told you that they are discussing a clip found online of one of Michael Jackson's weird but spectacular dance movements.

Back to Normal
I am getting back into the swing of things and I seemed to be getting on top of my work load. Here is Steven who used to look after Hummingbird at PRASA but now is here at Gauteng but in the SysOps section. I am not sure why he is back this side but I haven't been altogether here myself.

Cyathea dregei
We went with the Mountain Club of South Africa for a hike and some climb training for the Youth to Hamerkop Kloof in the Magaliesburg Mountains. Because it was not going be a scramble like the last hike, Carol decided to join us; well she won’t be walking much tomorrow as she is already stiff and sore. Here is Carol with Steven who is 6 foot or just shy of 2m being dwarfed next to this very old South African Tree Fern (Cyathea dregei) and this wasn’t the tallest one there in the forest of tree ferns. We had a lovely day up in the mountains and the steep sided kloofs with the bubbling streams. It was like touching the beard of God.

Where's Spring?
It looks like winter is still trying to fight back as today is rather chilly compared to last week of hot summer days. We haven’t had a spring yet. Here is Steven with his daughter.

This is Steven
Steven has been staying with us for the last two weeks. This is a mouthful - He is my wife’s late husband’s younger brother. And with him he brought into our peaceful home two cats. Yes you have met them already, Brandy and Whiskey.
