I want to wish a big double happy birthday to the twins Saskia and Pauline. I made it my mission to take a photograph of the twins today but Pauline ducked early so Jessica had to fill in for her, well forget the age difference, Jessica also has red hair like Pauline and that would do for me.
Today was a wind down day for me. Just relax and don’t do much other than load the dishwasher and turn it on. So I leave you with Saskia and Grant. Goodnight.
I don't have a high opinion about soccer with all the cheating and acting that is accepted in the sport. How can Suarez be so proud of what he did? "I am the new hand of God", more likely the hand of the devil. And the Uruguayan coach who supports him stating that he did it for the team. Bloody Agents! I now know how England feels when they think about Diablo Maradona because we now have Diablo Suarez. But in South Africa we rugby lovers have to support the soccer boys who are playing here in the good RSA. Saskia whose family originates from the Netherlands is fully behind the orange boys. I have no feelings for the boys from south america because they are the biggest cheaters out there. Germany is playing with German precision while the Dutch are playing with pride.
This morning I was feeling much better but by afternoon my nose started running and I was sneezing quite a bit. Oh boy I better start phase two of my "Get Better Plan". Taking about how a plan comes together, here is Pauline, Saskia and Karen. I don't think I have the twins together on my blog. Pauline and Saskia are twins although they look and act totally differently.
Back in Jozie and the sun started shinning. What's up with that? Anyway GI Saskia reported in for duty on time with her scalp nicely cropped.
It is wonderful to spend time with friends and what occasion we had today at Saskia and Pauline's birthday bash. What would I do without good friends and today was just great time to jump into 2010 as Bernice, Myia, Saskia and Matthew showed us while Carol and Pauline look on in anticipation.
It is 04:00 Sunday morning and our guests have just left after a wonderful evening, well morning as well, was had by all. I am sorry to say this Sunday started off well but ended as a terrible day. I am so stressed. I pray that this will be the worst day of this year and it can only get better. Yes I wonder if ever Grant and Saskia will ever hit it off. Grant came back from Zambia this week and it looks like they both happy. Come on Grant make your move. Back at home the family came round for a braai and spend time with Matthew.
Pouring rain today did not stop anyone going to church this morning. It was supposed to be a braai and car-wash day today but God did the washing of cars today while the wors was a little slow coming off the grill. Saskia was there with her new camera that she bought with her birthday money.
After a terrible night of not much sleep, Carol and I crawled out of bed to prepare for church. Carol left earlier to take her mom to Ferndale and I had an extra hour to get ready. Thank You. I needed it. In the photo above are Rachel, Lu-Marie, Angie, Saskia, Sonia and Matthew.
As cats in hats we all gathered to wish Sasika a great 40th. We me at Angi and Gary’s house for the shin ding and the storm did not keep us from having fun. Angi and her sister Bev prepared this lovely Chinese meal that consisted of a number of courses. Happy Birthday Sasika.
