Walk Tall

Before you can run you have to pick yourself up and start walking. I have got myself up on shaky ground and if I am not moving then I am not going anywhere. I remember a song my mom used to sing to me as a young boy. It is by The Popes and has the words "Be a proud man and hold your head up high. Walk tall, walk straight, and look the world in the eye". Anyway back to work. Here is Keba on a Metrorail coffee break which is just gossip thickly smeared over all the politics over a cuppa.

Hey la, hey la, Keba’s back

Keba has been away since last week Tuesday and nobody knew where she was. Was she sick or AWOL or new job or on leave? No one knew, not even her managers. But today Keba’s back. She hasn’t told any us where she was. So the Angel’s song from the sixties spring to mind.

The bunnies

The year is fast coming to the end and we all looking forward to the summer break. The temperatures are already soaring towards the 30 degrees C. which is enough to monkey around in the ICT department. Here Keba pulling bunny ears behind José and Karibo backs.

Keba Keba

I am continuing here at Metrorail with an unknown future. I don’t think Keba is enjoying Metrorail as she has had some personality clashes.

Heads Down

Today I started the daunting workload. I managed to finish two jobs which are only due tomorrow. This has put me ahead of schedule. Here are some of the others in the office who are also quite busy. They are José, Keba and Darleen.

Keba

Keba started in Metrorail in place of Petunia. She is the new Communications and Media intern and is now based not in Marketing but in the ICT department. She had a frosty welcome from those who missed Petunia. The fault lies squarely on the shoulders of management. I did my best to make her feel at home. Sitting in ICT won’t help her chances with the marketing staff.
