Eternal Flame

The Joburg Photowalkers did Freedom Park this afternoon. Most of South African memories are laid to rest here although no SADF members, which I was once, are remembered. So those brothers in arms who died in the Bush War from 1966 to 1989 are simply forgotten. What happened to Freedom Park to be "a place which will hold our memories in incubation, allowing them to nurture a future free of bitterness, free of hatred, free of stereotypes, free of racism, and free of the destructive fury of war." Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful place but a place where only one side is allowed to grieve. You shall not be forgotten.
